The vessel is 38'2'' long and 6'9'' wide. It is equipped with ten oars, three masts and three sails. They were originally built 200 years ago in France as naval aids in the French Revolution. Today they are used as competition boats around the world in the Atlantic challenge.
This boats is 24' long and 6' wide, and equipped with a three cylinder diesel motor. It was originally used in the 1950s to carry food and supplies to the lighthouse keepers. They were usually carried on much larger steam boats as dingys and lowered down in shallow waters. Today there are very few around and are used simply as day boats.
